This week, our Year 7 and 8 pupils have been sitting the Pearson Progression Tests. These externally standardised assessments provide a clear and reliable benchmark of pupil progress against international expectations.

At this stage in their educational journey, it is important for pupils to begin experiencing formal assessment conditions in a supportive environment. These assessments help students develop confidence, practise important skills such as time management, and gain a better understanding of the expectations they will encounter as they progress towards IGCSE study.
The outcomes also provide valuable insight for teachers, helping us identify strengths and areas for development so that we can adapt teaching and provide the right support for every pupil as they move forward in their learning. More on the secondary programme these assessments lead into is on the Senior School page.
