A Scholarship for Indonesian Pupils

The Ki Hajar Dewantara Scholarship

A limited number of scholarships, awarded each year to Indonesian pupils with strong academic potential, for whom the fees would otherwise be out of reach.

Who can apply

Indonesian families whose child shows genuine academic promise, and for whom ISJ would not be affordable without help. Children generally join in Year 5, 6, 7, or 8.

The award

Awards typically cover between 50 and 100% of tuition and are made on academic potential and family circumstances. An award continues for as long as your child is at ISJ, subject to normal terms and conditions.

How it works

It begins with a conversation with Admissions. If the scholarship could suit your child, two steps follow: an assessment of your child’s potential, and a confidential review of your family’s finances.

Ki Hajar Dewantara

Named in honour of Indonesia’s national education hero, who founded the Taman Siswa movement and held that education should be open to all, whatever a child’s background.

Ask us

If your child could flourish at ISJ, we would be glad to talk. The conversation is confidential, and there is no obligation.
