We are delighted to announce that The Independent School of Jakarta will be hosting the very first British Theatre School Holiday Camp in Jakarta this summer, from 13–17 July 2026.

Delivered by The International British Theatre School, the programme offers ISJ pupils aged 6–12 a creative and educational holiday experience built around drama-based performance activities. Every session is taught in English by native-speaking tutors, giving pupils a week of immersion alongside genuine stagecraft training.

What Pupils Will Develop

The camp is designed to build both performance skills and broader confidence. Across the week, pupils will work on:

  • Professional stagecraft and performance technique
  • Confidence in public speaking
  • English-language immersion
  • Creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence

A Structured Daily Programme

Each day combines focused drama training with movement and play. Pupils take part in vocal warm-ups, acting and improvisation, script analysis, production design, rehearsals, staging, and physical activities, building towards a performance that draws the week together.

About The International British Theatre School

The International British Theatre School brings professional drama training to young performers in an English-language setting. Hosting their first Jakarta camp at ISJ is a natural fit with the school's British curriculum and its focus on confidence, communication, and creative expression across the through-school journey.

More information about ISJ's wider programme is available on the School Life page. Details of how to enrol your child in the holiday camp will follow shortly.
