Namarina Dance Academy, Jl. Gedung Hijau Raya, Pondok Indah Indonesia's first ballet and jazz school, founded in 1956. Structured graded classes rather than drop-in sessions.
Marlupi Dance Academy, branches across Jakarta Teaches the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from London, with the same graded exams a child would sit in the UK. Ballet through to hip hop.

Taman Bendera Pusaka, Kebayoran Baru Three parks merged into one 5.6 hectare space near Blok M in March 2026, with a playground for ages 3 to 12, a library and free padel courts. Free, open 24 hours, ten minutes' walk from Blok M BCA MRT.
Taman Puring, Kebayoran Baru A free public park with a mini climbing wall, parkour frames and a skate area. Suits children who have outgrown soft play.
Setu Babakan, Srengseng Sawah A Betawi cultural village around a lake, with paddle boats and space for a picnic. A half-day out with some heritage attached.
Taman Suropati, Menteng A pocket park of shaded paths and sculptures, best early morning before the heat.

Jakarta Planetarium, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini Reopened in December 2025 after thirteen years closed, with a new dome and star theatre. Tickets are Rp10,000 and free for students, sold through Loket.com. Only about seventy walk-up places per show, so book.
ASHTA District 8, Senopati Rooftop garden, free reading space and rotating art workshops rather than a play venue. Useful when a toddler and a tween need different things from the same afternoon.
Twin House, Cipete A green outdoor cafe space with room for children to roam while adults sit. Calmer alternative to a mall.

Jakarta Aquarium and Safari, Neo Soho, West Jakarta Indonesia's largest indoor aquarium, with coral, mangrove and river zones, a 4D theatre and rotating mermaid shows. The strongest wet-weather option in the city, and worth the cross-town drive.
Play At SORA, The Buya level 2, Cipete Raya Built for the youngest, from 5 months to 8 years, with sensory, music, dance and craft sessions that change weekly.
Playtopia Adventure, Senayan Park level 1 Two thousand square metres of high-level ropes, climbing and padded zones for school-age children. A second branch is at Margo City, Depok.
Bounce Street Asia, Kuningan City Mall Trampoline park with foam pits, dodgeball courts, climbing walls and a ninja course, from around age 6.
Dunia Fantasi and Atlantis, Ancol Jakarta's full-scale theme park and water park, on the north coast. A whole-day trip rather than an afternoon.

Many of the activities listed above are located within 10 to 20 minutes of Pondok Indah, Kemang, Cipete, Cilandak, and SCBD, making South Jakarta one of the most family-friendly areas for international relocations.
