Payment Options and Policies

Payment Structure

Tuition fees are payable annually or termly. In exceptional cases, alternative payment schedules may be considered following discussion with the Academic Director or Head of School.

All invoiced fees for new pupils joining the school must be paid before a pupil's first day at ISJ.

Sibling Discount

To support families with more than two children at ISJ, a tuition fee reduction applies:

  • 5% discount for a third child
  • 10% discount for a fourth child
  • 15% discount for fifth and subsequent children

Mid-Year Enrolments

Pupils joining part-way through a term will be charged pro-rata for that term.

Late Payment

All fees should be paid by the due date on the invoice.

A late payment interest charge of 2% per month or part thereof will be applied to any unpaid balance that remains outstanding 14 days before the first day of term. This charge will continue to accrue monthly on the outstanding amount until full payment is received.

ISJ reserves the right to withhold reports, references, transcripts, or access to classes and activities where fees remain unpaid, and may withdraw a pupil's place in cases of extended non‑payment at the school's sole discretion.

Notice Requirements

Parents must give at least 90 days' written notice before their child's last day attending school. Notice must be submitted by email to admissions@isj.id.

Parents must clearly state that they are giving notice of withdrawal. Emails that only indicate a possibility of leaving (for example, "we think we are leaving") are not considered formal notice.

If the required notice is not received, one full term's tuition fees will be payable in lieu of notice.

Annual Fee Reviews

Fees are reviewed annually to ensure the school continues to invest in high-quality teachers, facilities, and programmes. ISJ reserves the right to make adjustments if circumstances require, with as much notice as possible.

Terms and Conditions

What's Included in Annual Fees

Annual fees include tuition, materials fee, and capital contribution. This covers teaching and learning across all subjects, classroom materials, campus facilities and maintenance, and pastoral care and academic support.

Additional Fees

In addition to tuition fees, all pupils are charged for lunch and trips & events. These fees are payable annually or termly and cover daily meals, day trips, educational visits, and school events throughout the year.

Additional charges may apply for external examinations such as GCSE or A-Level exams, optional programmes, or special activities. These will always be communicated in advance.

Other fees and charges may be due for optional items such as uniform, buses or transport, some co-curricular clubs, wraparound care, individual music lessons, and residential programmes.

Note: Residential programmes are charged separately when applicable.

Refunds

Tuition fees: Fees paid in advance will be refunded for any full term not attended, provided written notice has been given as outlined in the terms and conditions. No refund or pro‑rating will be given for a term that has already started.

Non-refundable fees: The Application Fee is non-refundable.

Enrolment Deposit: Refunded in full when a pupil leaves ISJ, subject to written notice as set out in terms and conditions and settlement of all financial obligations. In the event of cancellation before a pupil starts, the Enrolment Deposit is non‑refundable. Enrolment may only be postponed once, with prior approval.

Major Disruption

In the event of unavoidable closure or disruption (including remote learning), fees remain payable in full.
